Clam Chowder

Ingredients

  • 30 ml olive oil
  • 30 ml minced onion
  • 250 ml boiling water
  • 500 ml cubed, raw potatoes
  • 2 ml sea salt
  • 1 pinch white pepper
  • 225 g clams
  • 625 ml 2% warm milk

Preparation

  1. Warm olive oil in a saucepan over medium heat.

  2. Add minced onion and brown lightly.

  3. Add water, potatoes, salt, and pepper.

  4. Cover, cook and stir occasionally until potatoes become tender (approximately 15 minutes).

  5. Add clams and re-warm.

  6. Add milk and taste.
