General Information
Northern shrimp is a small crustacean that lives along the deep trenches of the St. Lawrence River. It lives at depths of between 150 m and 300 m where the temperature stays between 4ºC and 6ºC. Northern shrimp are one of the most heavily fished species in Quebec and are caught from April to December.
