Since its foundation in 1977, Poisonnerie J.G. Laprise Inc. has been
processing and selling crab meat, whelks and hundreds of ground fish
species, including turbot. Efficient and successful, the enterprise has
doubled its turnover during the past ten years.
Situated on the shores of the St-Lawrence River, Poissonnerie J.G.
Laprise Inc. offers a variety of products, including snow crab, and
ground fish. Harvested and processed the same day, these mollusks,
shellfish, and fish maintain their freshness and flavor.
Concerned with satisfying its clientele, Poisonnerie J.G. Laprise
Inc. is constantly exploring new business approaches. The demand for
these products is growing, their 1672 square meter processing plant is
working at full capacity in order to meet consumer demand at
competitive prices.
The Poissonnerie J.G. Laprise is situated in Chute-aux Outardes. Its
plant employs 75 people and more than 85% of its production is exported
to the United States or Japan.
